Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") sets forth the handling of personal information of users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") who use the websites and applications (hereinafter referred to as "the Services") provided by CROOZ Hotel, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), as well as its parent company and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as "CROOZ Group").

This Policy constitutes a part of the Terms of Use. It applies when Users use the Services and when the Company collects, uses, and manages personal information obtained from Users. Unless otherwise specifically stated in this Policy, it does not apply to personal information collected independently by advertisers posting on the Services or by third parties providing information or services through the Services. Furthermore, this Policy does not apply to individuals who are not Users of the Services.

1. Definition and Protection of Personal Information

① "Personal Information" as referred to in this Policy means information relating to an individual User (limited to natural persons) such as name, date of birth, address, email address, or other details that can identify a specific individual (including information that can be easily combined with other data to identify an individual).

② The Company is the sole owner of personal information obtained from Users through the Services (hereinafter referred to as "User Personal Information") and will manage such information in accordance with this Policy.

2. Information Collected

In addition to the above Personal Information, the CROOZ Hotel Group may collect the following types of information from Users. Collectively, these are referred to as "Personal and Related Information."

3. Purpose of Use of Personal and Related Information

The purposes for which the CROOZ Hotel Group uses Personal and Related Information are as follows. In principle, the Group will not use this information for purposes other than those listed below, except where prior notice or public disclosure is not required under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan.

4. Shared Use of Information

The CROOZ Hotel Group may share Personal and Related Information among its affiliated companies when necessary to achieve the purposes listed in Section 3. The scope of information shared corresponds to Section 2, and the shared purpose corresponds to Section 3. The parties with whom the information is shared are the companies within the CROOZ Hotel Group. The person responsible for managing shared information is identified in Section 12.

5. Provision to Third Parties

The CROOZ Hotel Group will not provide or disclose Users' Personal and Related Information to any third party without the User's consent, except in the following cases or when permitted by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information.

6. Entrustment of Personal Information

The CROOZ Hotel Group may entrust Personal and Related Information to external service providers when outsourcing operations such as customer support, system maintenance, or data processing. In such cases, the Group will select contractors that maintain a high standard of data protection and enter into confidentiality agreements before any entrustment.

7. Disclaimer

If a User voluntarily discloses Personal or Related Information through the Services (including but not limited to email or message boards), such information may be collected and used by third parties. The CROOZ Hotel Group shall not be liable for any damages resulting from such disclosure.

8. Disclosure, Correction, or Deletion of Personal Information

When a User requests disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information, the CROOZ Hotel Group will verify the identity of the requester by appropriate means and, if deemed reasonable, will respond promptly within a reasonable scope.

9. Use of Cookies

The CROOZ Hotel Group may use cookies to collect History Information. Cookies are small text files sent to a User's device when visiting the Services. They do not, by themselves, identify an individual User.

Third-party advertisers and analytics partners may also use cookies or web beacons for ad delivery, performance measurement, and improving convenience.

Users can disable cookies in their browser settings; however, doing so may result in limited access to certain parts of the Services.

10. Revisions to this Policy

The CROOZ Hotel Group may revise all or part of this Policy without obtaining User consent. In the event of significant changes, the Group will provide clear notice to Users via the Services.

11. Use by Children (Applicable to Users in the United States)

(This section applies only to Users in the United States.)

Under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), special rules apply to the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information from children under the age of 13. Parents or guardians are requested to supervise and limit access to the Services by their children.

The CROOZ Hotel Group does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13, nor does it knowingly allow them to use the Services. If it becomes known that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, such information will be promptly deleted.
